I never imagined I would one day call myself an author. Writing a book, especially a crime mystery, felt like something that other people did, not me—people braver, more confident, more certain. Yet here I am, stepping into a world I’ve always admired from the outside.
I never planned on becoming a writer. I was a reader long before I ever thought of writing. Stories were my quiet escape, my comfort. I was especially drawn to mysteries—the kind that stayed with you long after the last page, asking questions, leaving shadows behind.
My interest in reading began during my college years and slowly deepened into a fascination with fiction. Those stories stayed with me, slowly planting a thought I couldn’t ignore: what if I tried to tell one of my own?
Writing this book wasn’t quick or effortless. It took nearly two years of late-night writings, countless drafts, moments of doubt, and moments of quiet excitement. There were days I questioned everything, and then there were days I slowly learnt to trust my own voice. Somewhere between chaos, self-doubt, and persistence, Deception — A Shadow of Lies was born—a story I couldn’t let go of, one that demanded to be told. And with it, my journey as a storyteller began.
My debut novel, Deception — A Shadow of Lies, is a fast-paced thriller that explores trust, betrayal, manipulation, and moral ambiguity. It reflects my fascination with the flawed characters, layered investigations, revelations that come with consequences, and twists that challenge the reader’s assumptions until the very end.
When I’m not writing, I work in the corporate world—a sharp contrast to the dark, uncertain spaces I explore through fiction.
